Ellie Downie MBE

Ellie Downie MBE is a former Olympic gymnast, World and European medalist. She has also recently become an owner of a Reformer Pilates Studio in Manchester. After retiring from a 20 year career of gymnastics, Ellie decided to move over into the fitness industry and found a passion for making a safe environment for people to exercise and feel comfortable in their own skin.

Gymnastics taught her how to be tough both physically and mentally but most importantly it taught her how to stand up for herself. In 2020, Ellie spoke out about the mistreatment in gymnastics which lead to her reviewing a spot on the 2023 new years honours list and receiving an MBE in 2024. Ellie wants to encourage people to use their voice and understand how powerful it can be.
